Registered Architect

BAAHOUSE + BAASTUDIO Architecture is seeking a Registered Architect for an immediate start to join our residential design team in Brisbane East (Wynnum). We are passionate about delivering quality architectural designs, living solutions and personalised service to our clients ranging from small 2^nd dwellings to luxury new builds and renovations.
The successful applicant will require:

• Registration with the Board of Architects of Queensland.
  
• A minimum of 3 years residential architecture experience.
  
• Must be living in Australia with full working rights.
  
• Current working skills in AutoCAD, ARCHICAD + SKETCHUP.
  
• Experience in client engagement, consultation and coordinating consultants.
  
• Time-management skills –ability to meet project deadlines and work on various projects at the same time.
  
• Attention to detail.
  
• High level of construction and technical drawing knowledge as well as knowledge on the National Construction Code.
  
• Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work and collaborate within a team environment.
  

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Consult effectively with clients to produce residential design solutions to suit their lifestyle and budget.
  
• Work on multiple projects within set timeframes according to the client's fee proposal and work break down structure.
  
• Project manage all drawing stages from conception to completion (sketch design, 3d modelling, design development, building approval, construction detailing).
  
• Use supporting design documentation - schedule of finishes, proposals, briefs, reports.
  
• Apply National Construction Codes, regulations and standards to documentation.
  
• Coordinate with consultants (Certifiers, Town planners, Councils, Engineers, Interior Designers.
