About the position:
Calling all designers, thinkers, creators, and dreamers that can sculpt the architectural vision of our clients into clever, innovative, and practical spaces.

We are currently looking for a Registered Architect or highly experienced Graduate to join our busy studio and take the lead on our more complex projects. 

Responsibilities:
  • Undertake research, investigation, and analysis of the site, while developing concepts and testing ideas.
  • Develop Schematic Designs for internal spatial planning and external form development.
  • Create project presentations that analyse the brief, communicate concept and design development and visually convey the design to the client.
  • Produce working drawings as part of Architectural Documentation for Development Application and/or Construction Documentation.
  • Review, evaluate and coordinate specialist consultant advice and design.
  • Produce technical schedules such as window, door and external finishes.
  • Communicate with clients in relation to their project status.
  • Understand and incorporate relevant building codes, Australian Standards and authority requirements and guidelines, into design concepts, Approval Documentation and Construction Documentation.
  • Understand the Design and Building Practitioners Act requirements as it relates to Class 2, 3 and 9b buildings.
  • Undertake internal design reviews with Senior Design team members.
  • Understand and manage the expectations of project stakeholders.
  • Respond to builder, consultant, authority, and client/PM queries before, during and after construction.

As a prospective candidate, you must:
  • Be a NSW Registered Architect or a desire to become registered in the near future.
  • Have the relevant post graduate qualifications as recognised by the AACA.
  • Have experience working with large scale RFB, Mixed Use or Commercial projects.
  • Be able to manage a large project and project team.
  • Have high quality architectural detailing and project coordination skills.
  • Be able to use your excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Have general proficiency with MS Office. 
  • Have experience using ArchiCAD or a proactive attitude to learn quickly.
