JAM Architects are seeking an experienced Architect to join our expanding Geelong studio. 
Our practice:

JAM Architects are a well-established design practice with studios in Melbourne and Geelong.
Our diverse project portfolio encompasses a number of sectors including residential, multi-residential, commercial and retail projects. We value establishing and maintaining cooperation and confidence between client, industry and professional consultant teams to develop more innovative resolved and successful projects

The Role:
We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Architect (5+years) with proficient ArchiCAD skills who is capable of working alongside our project Team, with the Directors and also autonomously. Salary will be negotiable, commensurate with skills and experience.

Work experience, skills, and qualifications:
The role demands initiative, creativity, excellent communication and sound technical skills, including:
  • Acquired at least a degree in Architecture
  • 5+ years full time as an Architect with local practice experience 
  • Proficiency in ARCHICAD is preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe & Microsoft Software
  • Experience in running a variety of projects
  • Comprehensive understanding of NCC and Australian Standards
  • Appropriate experience in construction documentation and detailing
  • Appropriate experience liaising with consultants & contractors
  • Current understanding of material and products.

  • Ability to deliver project tasks in an efficient manner without compromise to detail 
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload
 
Responsibilities & duties:
  • Undertake and/or co-ordinate design projects from concept design through to completion with support staff full construction documentation
  • Liaise with Clients and relevant Consultants and Authorities
  • Prepare construction documentation
  • Coordinate and submit Planning Applications 
  • Ensure in-house documentation is up to date in corresponding with all relevant requests from project stakeholders
  • Contract Administration
