Murdoch University sought architectural and interior design services for the relocation of the Property Development & Commercial Services Office (PDCSO) & Security Offices. The PDSCO project involved upgrading the existing transportable buildings 435 and 436, and an additional relocated transportable as part of an amended DA. A new modular economic facade was designed to improve the aesthetic appeal and outdoor amenity. The workplace fit-out for PDSCO was designed for a maximum occupancy of 90 to coordinate the decanting of future university departments as they upgrade offices during the new campus development.
My Role, Responsibilities & Challenges: Plus Architecture inherited the design of BM Projects following their dismissal from the project and an internal change of management. This dynamic presented a host of challenges that continued throughout project however the scope of work was not overly complex and therefore manageable. The project manager DCWC had a number of projects within the Murdoch campus and this office upgrade was important to execute so that they could commence future works.
